Hello I’m Danielle.  I grew up right here in the Madison area.  I have always been interested in children, families, and development.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelors of Science in Human Development & Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Studies.  I have worked with children with and without special needs since I was a teenager, helping them to grow and develop.  After graduating from college, I started working with children with special needs through the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.  I have also been involved with the growth and development through being a private nanny, work in a private clinic, and respite care.  Through my work experiences, I have spent lots of time developing plans and goals, creating new, and modifying existing materials, and teaching children and adults how to implement these things in their daily lives.  My passion comes from my own history of having special needs, in the area of learning disability, and finding ways and using tools to grow my independence.  I understand some of the difficulties that children and their families can experience when living with different needs and I very much enjoy helping children to grow and learn.

Hello! My name is Andrea Scott and I am a national, state, and DPI Wisconsin licensed occupational therapist.  I have always loved working with children and have experience through private employment and public employment working with children with and without special needs.  This includes working at the Waisman Early Childhood Program on UW campus and through United Cerebral Palsy.  I graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from UW-Madison in Human Development & Family Studies with an emphasis in Child Development.  I continued on to graduate school at UW to earn a Masters of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy.  I’ve lived in the area all of my life and currently also work as an occupational therapist in a local school district.  I have experience working with children and young adults ages 3-21 both at school and in the community with a large variety of special needs.  I am a single mother of two young girls, one who has special needs and one who has significant anxiety.  I absolutely love working with children, young adults, their families, and others who support them to build their capacity to care for themselves and complete daily and community tasks that promote independence in their life.  I find absolute joy in watching children and young adults succeed!
